I’ve submitted my resume for a job posting, when can I expect to hear back from you?

We appreciate the time and interest you take to apply for a position at Westport Fuel Systems. Those who best meet the requirements for the job will be contacted by our recruitment team. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we will only be contacting qualified candidates.

What happens during the recruitment process?

Your application will be reviewed by both our recruitment team and our hiring managers. If there is a fit with our current opportunities, we'll contact you to further discuss your qualifications with a phone interview. We may also contact you to arrange for an in-person interview. Depending on the role, you may be asked to complete a technical assessment.

What happens after the interview?

We'll contact you as soon as possible to update you on our discussions. If you're successful, you'll be contacted to move forward in the recruitment process (further interviews, reference and background checks will be required depending on the position). If there are no immediate opportunities for your skill set, we'll let you know and keep your resume active in our database for future consideration for a six month time period.

How do I know if my application was submitted in the system correctly?

After submitting your application online, you’ll receive an email notification letting you know your resume has been successfully received. If you don’t hear from us, please make sure to check your junk mail to see if you have received the notification.

There are multiple jobs I am interested in, should I apply for all of them?

Yes. Please apply for each position that best fits your qualifications. This also helps us better understand the type of work you're interested in and can connect you to the right people in our organization.

The position I’m applying for isn’t in the city where I live. If my interview is successful, would I get assistance with relocation?

Yes, but this will depend on the position. If applicable, our team will assist with relocation and immigration requirements. We’ll ensure your career move to Westport Fuel Systems is as seamless as possible.

I’m looking for an internship or co-op. Are you currently hiring? If so, how do I apply?

Yes. Westport Fuel Systems offers both internship and co-op opportunities. For internships, please visit our Current Opportunities page to view available positions and to apply online. For co-op opportunities, please visit your school’s co-op office for available positions.

Is the information I provide on my resume and cover letter confidential?

Yes. All information provided to Westport Fuel Systems through the application and recxuitment process is kept confidential. The information that you share will not be shared with third parties or anyone outside the organization.
