Grazie al lavoro della Divisione Ricerca e Sviluppo, Westport Fuel Systems ha lanciato sul mercato il primo sistema italiano a iniezione gassosa di GPL e metano e il primo sistema a iniezione gassosa di GPL per auto ad alimentazione diretta di benzina.

Suddivisa nei comparti meccanico ed elettronico, dal 2011 la Divisione Ricerca e Sviluppo ha il proprio centro operativo in una struttura nuovissima di oltre 4.000 metri quadrati, provvista degli strumenti di lavoro più innovativi e all’avanguardia.

Tra questi spiccano:

  • Celle climatiche con controllo di temperatura e umidità
  • Camera shock termici e la camera nebbia salina
  • Banchi di fluidodinamica equipaggiati per ogni tipo di durata e funzionamento
  • Banco vibrante elettrodinamico
  • Banchi prova a rulli e prova motore
