Our technology

Our path to near-zero emissions

Our alternative fuel technologies focus on innovative and cleaner mobility and transportation, with a path toward near-zero emissions. To this end, our Research and Development teams around the world work to optimise components and systems for and with our customers (OEMs, D-OEMs, and Aftermarket).

Performance, efficiency, affordability, and safety are important to comply with the most stringent emission standards.

Our technologies can cover two main engine architectures for power systems, covering all current engine technologies available on the market.

Primary system

where the WFS control system operates autonomously and controls all powertrain functions
  • 1-to-6-cylinder engines
  • Single fuel and dual fuel
  • CNG, LPG, and Hydrogen

Secondary system

in which the WFS control system functions as an addition to the original engine management system and controls the delivery of alternative fuel:

  • Gasoline engines with 1 to 10 cylinders
  • GDI, PFI, Hybrid (from mild to plug-in)
  • Dual fuel technology in diesel engines

AFC-3.0

Our latest AFC-3.0 DI control unit can be programmed according to the management system of each vehicle and each gasoline engine, using advanced hybrid technology electronics.

Our injection hardware and our exclusive eVP-500 reducer ensure precise fuel delivery under all engine operating conditions. The combination of these state-of-the-art components guarantees an optimal fuel system with unmatched performance and efficiency.

Dual Fuel technology

Dual Fuel technology can be used worldwide for on-road and off-road vehicles, marine and stationary diesel engines, wherever alternative fuels are available. It is mainly used for heavy-duty vehicles. Dual Fuel technology is based on the use of two different fuels in a compression ignition (CI) diesel engine. In this way, part of the diesel fuel can be replaced by a cleaner and more economical alternative fuel. Diesel fuel remains responsible for ignition. The secondary fuel is an alternative fuel such as LPG, CNG, LNG, or H2.

Hybrid technology

Together with Kia Italia, we have developed the new Kia Niro Tri-Fuel, the first OEM hybrid vehicle powered by HEV and LPG using three fuel sources: gasoline, electricity, and LPG.
Our aftermarket kits can also cover plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Hydrogen and renewable energy

Today, we are already working on solutions that use other alternative fuels, such as biofuels, hydrogen, and DME. We collaborate with key stakeholders such as governments, fuel suppliers and producers, universities, and OEMs, and we believe that our products will represent an important technology in our journey toward a greener future in transportation.
Every global market has specific requirements, which is why our teams work closely with local customers to optimise our systems. Visit our brand websites for specific information and follow our news to stay up to date with the latest developments.
