Westport Fuel Systems Italia completes the acquisition of the majority of Landi Renzo Green Transportation business
Cherasco, October 30th, 2026 – The industrial integration process between Westport Fuel Systems Italia S.r.l. and Landi Renzo S.p.A. – initiated by the strategic agreement announced on April 29th – continues to move forward.
A significant milestone was reached today with the contribution of Landi Fuel Systems S.r.l. (which includes most of the business segment Green Transportation previously owned by Landi Renzo Group) to Westport Fuel Systems Italia S.r.l. This newly established company includes the brands Landi Renzo, Lovato, Emmegas, Metatron, AEB, MED and the subsidiaries in Poland, China and Argentina.
This transaction marks another concrete step in the integration project, which aims to combine complementary expertise, technologies, and product portfolios, thereby strengthening the companies’ industrial and competitive positioning within the market for alternative fuel systems and components.
The establishment of the new company and its subsequent contribution to Westport Fuel Systems Italia S.r.l. confirms the progress of this strategic project, which is designed to leverage synergies between the two entities, expand development opportunities, and consolidate their presence in international markets for sustainable mobility.
Landi Fuel Systems S.r.l. will remain based in Cavriago (Reggio Emilia) and will retain its legal autonomy until the subsequent merger by incorporation into Westport Fuel Systems Italia S.r.l., which is expected to take place in 2027. This merger will complete the corporate and industrial integration process outlined in the original agreement.
